Today Joe flew a Cessna 172N (N734MG) out of Merritt Island Airport (COI). We flew down to Boca Raton Airport (BCT). After taking off, we headed back for our return flight.
Today Joe flew a Cessna 172R (N536HF) out of St Petersburg’s Albert Whitted Airport (SPG). We had a short trip this time to Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach and back again.
This morning we got back from a 5-Night Western Caribbean cruise departing from Port Canaveral on the Norwegian Sun. We joined three other couples from our ward, so we had a group of 9.
On our way to the port, we dropped Daisy off at her hotel – Heart of Florida Pet Resort.
We stayed in stateroom #8217 (Cat O1 – Family Oceanview Picture Window), located on starboard side of deck 8 forward.
Our ports of call were (1) Costa Maya, Mexico, and (2) Cozumel, Mexico.
While visiting Costa Maya, Joe got a new ring from Diamonds International. We also got a wolf sculpture for our collection.
During our visit to Cozumel, we took a taxi over to Paradise Beach with one of the couples in our group. They had a very reasonable charge for a chair and umbrella. Lizzy also got the package that included floating obstacles, paddle board, snorkel gear.
Although Disney includes the ability to text others using their app, Norwegian’s app has a “Phone and Messenger Package” that allowed us to keep in contact for $9.95 per person for duration of the cruise.
Some of the entertainment on the ship included Julie Barr (comedian), Phillip John Eaton (juggler) and the Sun Production Cast (singing and dancing).
This was our 16th cruise, and the first time on a cruise outside of the Disney fleet.
Today Joe went flying again.. this time we flew a Cessna 172M (N46299) for about 1.5 hours out of Merritt Island (COI) up near New Smyrna Airport (EVB) at the Ponce de Leon Inlet and back again.
Today we visited Wild Florida, about an hour from our home.
While there, we took a 1-hour airboat ride and then checked out a couple of the shows and walked around looking at the animal exhibits.
Today we returned from an 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy’s 376th voyage.
Our ports of call were (1) Tortola, (2) St Thomas, and (3) Castaway Cay.
This was our first cruise since becoming residents of Florida.
While we were on the ship, our little fur-princess stayed at the Best Friends Pet Hotel at Walt Disney World. The day we picked her up, she spent some time at the salon – heh.
We stayed in stateroom # 7064 (Cat 5C – Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah) located on Deck 7 Mid on the Port Side.
Our stateroom host was Benjamin Fernandes, and our dining team was Deneval Miller (head server), Elvin Ochoa Cruz (server), and Cindy Lopez Jimenez (asst server). Our Captain was Thord Haugen and our Cruise Director was Peter Hofer.
Our table mates (at table 54), Jerry and Melody, were from Arkansas, and had one girl (Anna) and two boys (John Mark and Luke).
This was the first cruise Lizzy was able to join the Vibe group. After one of the character dances, a group from the Edge and Vibe did a flash mob dance in the atrium.
Monday, June 17th, was our 30th Anniversary. We enjoyed a Brunch in Palo, with Boris as our server.
While visiting St Thomas, Joe and Lizzy went on a snorkeling excursion to Turtle Cove.
While on Castaway Cay, Lizzy was able to do The Wild Side Teen Adventure excursion.
During the DVC presentation of embarkation day, Joe was chosen to be part of the trivia portion, only to show he didn’t know the chronology of some Disney events. Then, later that evening during the welcome show in the theater, Joe joined Jeff Civillico on stage to show off his wonderful juggling ability – not. Of course, in retaliation, Joe was able to get Andrea to be picked during Jeff’s adult show that night. Needless to say, the rest of the cruise, the both of us were recognized by other cruisers.
The end of our 15th cruise (Magic: 2, Wonder: 5, Dream: 3, Fantasy: 5) marked our 100th night that we have spent on the beautiful Disney Ships.
Tonight we were able to attend the devotional at the Amway Center. Our speakers for the event were President Russell M Nelson and his wife, Wendy, Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Harriet, and Elder Shane M. Bowen of the Seventy and his wife, Lynette.
Lizzy got to sit down on the floor with other young men and women from the area.
President Nelson during his talk asked the primary children to sing I am a Child of God.
Tonight we went to a V.I.Passholder Night at Typhoon Lagoon.
Today we spent a day at SeaWorld Orlando for Lizzy’s field trip for FLVS.
Lizzy and Joe rode on Manta, Kraken and Mako
All three of us rode on Infinity Falls, Journey to Atlantis, Empire of the Penguin and Wild Arctic
We got to watch the Shamu show and also feed the stingrays some fish.
