Today we, along with Andrea’s parents, returned from a 4-night Bahamian cruise aboard the new Disney Wish.

This cruise was in celebration of Lizzy’s 18th birthday. She wanted to sail on the newest Disney ship, and wanted to dine in the special Palo restaurant on her birthday, and we were able to make both of those happen.

Our ports of call were Nassau and Castaway Cay.

We stayed in stateroom # 12028 (Cat 03A – Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah) located on – get this – concierge Deck 12 forward on the port side. Andrea’s parents stayed in stateroom # 6026.

Our stateroom hosts were Nortel Murray and Jasper Enriquez De Guzman. Our dining team included Cindy Jermaine Joseph McKenzie (head server), Darrilyn Sharon Erasmus (server), and Reza Permadi (asst server). Reza had previously injured himself, so Ted got to help us as well.

We had brunch in Palo Steakhouse, with Mario from Serbia as our server.

While at Nassau, Lizzy and I sailed on a catamaran to do reef snorkeling. Grammy sailed with us, but decided to enjoy the view from the catamaran.

When we visited Castaway Cay, the five of us participated in the Stingray Adventure, where you get to feel some of them and then snorkel in their area. We then got to go over to cabana #20, another first for us as usually the cabanas are booked. An advantage for concierge cruisers.

The end of our 18th Disney cruise (Magic: 2, Wonder: 5, Dream: 5, Fantasy: 5, Wish: 1) marked our 111th night that we have spent on these beautiful ships.
